BUILDING YOUR KNOWLEDGE

The Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) is designed to ensure protection advisers act in the best interests of their clients. Part of this regulation requires anyone selling, advising or transacting insurance to undertake (and record) 15 hours of role specific training over a period of 12 months. To qualify, training must address a specific training need. Each activity should take no less than 30 minutes although a batch of different activities can be combined and recorded together.

The information below can help you better understand and meet these new regulatory requirements.
